Shireene joins Sun Group Hotels with an extensive background in hotel operations, strategic planning, financial management and organisational development. Throughout her career, she has held senior leadership positions with several prominent hospitality organisations, including Mango Bay Group, Ocean Two Resort & Residences and Hilton Barbados Resort.
Most recently, Shireene served as Group Director of Hotels at Mango Bay Group, where she oversaw multiple properties, led operational improvements and supported strategic initiatives across the portfolio. Her experience also extends to industry leadership, having served on the boards of several tourism organisations, including the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. and the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association.
Since joining Sun Group Hotels, Shireene has hit the ground running, working closely with the Group's leadership and property teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of its operations, identify opportunities for development and support ongoing strategic objectives.
In her role as COO, Shireene will oversee operations across the Group's hotel portfolio, with a focus on operational efficiency, financial performance, team development and the continued strengthening of service standards. Her extensive experience in multi-property management and people-focused leadership will play an important role in supporting the Group's long-term growth and development.
